What should be done when NAS access rate becomes very slow?

  1. Restart the NAS.
  2. Check the current disk settings and status. In case of hard disk failure, repair it ASAP.
  3. Check if other devices for network access have the same problem. If the internal network is not functioning properly, like certain PCs are infected, contact your network administrator.
  4. When there is mass access to disk data or replication is in process, disk access will become slower due to heavy workload of NAS. You may try to access NAS later.
  5. Try to connect PC directly to the NAS by a known good cable and check its performance.
  6. If you connect by wireless, try wired connection.
