What is the performance when I encrypt the hard drives using QNAP's AES-256 bit encryption?

The AES-256 encryption/decrypption on QNAP NAS is software based. So that the decryption is performed constantly during read & write and cuase performance impact on encrypted drives.

e.g. data based on the QNAP TS-459 NAS
Samba Transfer without encrypted volume: (MB/s)
Write     Read
94.1       102.5

Samba Transfer with encrypted volume: (MB/s)
Write     Read
18          37

Applied Models: Intel x86-based NAS series

Hello,
Do you have any other data for performance on the high-end product (such as TS-879 Pro) which uses the Intel Core i3-2120 CPU instead of the Intel Atom on the TS-459 unit?

Thank you very much.
