The USB one touch copy button does not work. What should I do?

Please check the following:

1.   The one touch copy button only works for the front USB port. Make sure your external USB device is connected to the front USB port of the NAS.

2.   Login to the NAS as an administrator. Go to “Backup” > “USB One Touch Copy” and configure the backup settings.

3.   Check that the connected storage device is supported: http://www.qnap.com/pro_compatibility.asp

My Qnap 419+ would not copy from an external drive (WD 3.5" Ext HDD). Is there anyway I can backup this external drive onto Qnap?

Ive configured the one touch but it's not working. Brilliantly, the link above goes to a "web page not found" so that really helpful....

To add a little insult to injury, when I found this page, a pop up announcing the web chat support beta to try. When I click on that it says that its not available.

I just 2 QNAPs and 60T of storage....is this the kind of support I can expect? If so, I will send it back before the 30 day period is up!

The external hard disk is auto unplug & I cannot find the external hard disk on NAS , I need to unplug and reinsert the USB cable, after the nas is redetected the external hard disk.

How can I do?
